Armed police surrounded a Penrith takeaway in the middle of Penrith on Sunday night after police received reports a man seen entering the My Kebab takeaway on Middlegate with a firearm.
Police were called to the premises at 8:48pm on Sunday 12th April following the report of a man seen to be in possession of a firearm.
Firearms officers were deployed to the incident and a man in his thirties was swiftly arrested by police.
it’s understood no one was injured during the incident, the man remains in police custody with police enquiries currently ongoing.
